I'm using 11.04 with Gnome 3 and it seems I can't change windows by using alt+tab. Is this a bug or a feature?

I have the same issue with gnome 2.32.1 since upgrading to Natty. Alt is ignored and the result is as if I had pressed Tab alone.

Ctrl+Alt+L still locks the computer, so the Alt key is working/recognised.

More feature than bug - you need to install the extensions (http://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell/Extensions) package to use Alt+Tab.

Ok, thanks. I'll give it a try, sometime.

Well, didn't work out. I've installed the alternate-tab extension, but I still can't switch windows or applications by pressing alt+tab. Anyone got an idea?

rajun198, if you're having problems with Alt+Tab in Gnome 2.x, you probably just need to change your Compiz settings. Alt+Tab can be any of four or five plugins in Compiz, depending on how you have it configured, and unless something is broken, you couldn't have disabled it without changing those settings in compizconfig-settings-manager.
