11.04 upgrade issues

I tried to upgrade to the 11.04 through the update manager and during the process my monitor went off, (not receiving signal), but the computer was still on and was froze. I turned it off and on, but it didn't boot. I had to shut it down and reinstall 10.10 to fix it.

I couldn't tell you any error messages, I had no screen.

Ok, and what is your question now? :)
I would suggest you a clean install if you want to run Ubuntu 11.04.
First make a backup of all your data and then try the live CD, but try it first before installing, it has a really new interface, so be careful and aware of it.
