I installed 10.04 on my desktop PC thru Wubi, but the PC froze during boot installation of Ubuntu at 95% during "running dpkg". I rebooted the PC after wandering through a handful of threads made by people with the exact same problem on this forum.

After reboot, I'm using the Ubuntu OS but some files are missing (language packages and other stuff). Can I install/fix those missing files with no internet access?

Also, how do I set up a connection on Ubuntu? I was using an Encore Wireless G USB adapter on XP (which was the previous OS of the machine).

Meh, I thought the Ubuntu forums were helpful.

I would recommend you to install it again...

This time dont reboot unless the mouse frezes.

i think not sure u can use the instalation CD/USB for fixing it

though some lost packages could be downloaded too.

What happens if you run
sudo dpkg --configure -a in a terminal?
If your wireless connection won't work connect an ethernet cable and run Additional drivers to see if a wireless card driver is found.
