The upgrade to Ubuntu 11.04 is almost complete. I got this message:

Configuring grub-pc

What do you want to do about modified configuration file grub?
- install the package maintainer version
- keep the local version currently installed
etc.

1. Which one should I choose?

2. Does the upgrade delete all my data?

3. It shouldn't affect my windows partition right?

Thanks

I'd like to know which is the best option as well. :)

If you have changed grub in any way (like the default order in the grub menu or the default resolution, for instance) you are probably best to keep the local version currently installed. I would assume that if you are getting that message then grub thinks that you have changed it in some way.

I used the current version. Seems to run OK. :)

Odd though because I don't think I changed it from whatever it was originally since I'm a total Ubuntu noob. I usually just install it all as it comes.
