I disabled unity within compiz. After I did that everything turned weird so i rebooted and now I can not see anything but my wallpaper. How is this problem fixed?

You have to enable Unity again, you need Unity for Ubuntu, at least for this session.
Type in a terminal:

unity --reset.

If you dont like the interface, logout, choose your user name and at the bottom choose Ubuntu Classic, that will boot your computer without the Unity interface.

Yes, and if you didn't know, Ctrl+Alt+T will open a terminal.

If you want to give Unity another try, this might help.
