I have Ubuntu 10.10 installed and rockin' my world on my Compaq CQ-420 Notebook. But now when I go to install XP on it then I get a strange error. After selecting the FAT partition for the installation XP says something like:
"This disk does not contain a XP-compatible partition. You can go back to the partition selection screen then delete a partition and make a XP-compatible partition. Blah blah blah".
I've tried to format the partitions using GParted from Live CD but no use.

But other people don't seem to have problems as most are stuck on the 'Reinstall GRUB" process :P.
I can't really fresh install this time cuz first of all my Ubuntu installation is running great for me. I don't wanna have to reinstall all the Apps from Net again :(. And another thing is, I just wanna do it, cuz others have it done. It's possible so why not this?

Please help guys, I have other 2 threads still unanswered.

format with windows tool or partedmagic and choose ntfs
