Hello.

Just upgraded from 10.10 to Natty 11.04.

What can I say, disappointing and frustrating.

Every time I reboot now I am greeted with a message from the monitor saying "Incompatible video". After a wait Natty eventually appears, but is incapable of recognising the model of the monitor. 10.10 did it.

The microphone no longer works, that means no Skype. I have tried alsamixer but that hasn't solved the problem. (It isn't a Skype problem, sound recorder doesn't work either).

After so much time convincing my family to use Ubuntu, and when they where starting to like it ... now this. Skype is an essential program in our computer, we use it to keep in contact with the family that lives abroad, it is a must. They just don't want to know anything more of Ubuntu.

I have spent hours now searching and I have found no solution that works.

I suppose it serves me right, everything worked perfectly with 10.10 so I took for granted that things with continue that way with Natty. What a mistake!

Upgrades never work right. Have you tried a clean install?
