Hi, I would like to know how I can keep my settings and apps, etc. after reinstalling ubuntu.

I think all I have to do is copy my home folder to a different drive or flash drive and copy it over to the new install. Is this right?

Also, I'm planning on going from 32-bit to 64-bit. Will this break anything? Thanks!

This is from 11.04 32-bit to 11.04 64-bit

Also, I'm dual booting with windows 7 and ubuntu. Can I just delete my ubuntu partition and install the OS on the free space created from that? Or will this break GRUB or something?
