Hi all,

I clicked that damned 'upgrade' button yesterday. It's got to doing the upgrade process, got stuck on the gconf package saying it couldn't upgrade it, then stopped (can't remember the exact message).

Everything stopped working on the PC after that so I had no choice but to reboot. I can select which kernel to boot in GRUB, however after I do so, it then produces the following message and drops to a BusyBox prompt:

error: no argument specified.

mount: mounting /dev on /root/dev failed: No such file or directory
mount: mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: No such file or directory
mount: mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: No such file or directory
Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init.
No init found. Try passing init= bootarg.

I've attempted to mount the drive on other computers running 10.10 Desktop, even thrown the drive onto a USB adapter to try and recover my data, however every attempt comes back to say that it timed out trying to connect to the drive (whether it's connected via SATA or USB).

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :D
