I have got a cd with Ubuntu 11.04 - Natty Narwhal, on it but

when I boot from it, it does not display the option to upgrade to Ubuntu 11.04
If I try and run, "gksu "sh /media/cdrom/cdromupgrade"", nothing happens

I can still install Ubuntu 11.04 but the cd does not seem to recognize that I aready have Ubuntu 10.10 on it and that I want to upgrade, keeping all my current applications - not overwrite.

I dual-boot Windows Vista 64 bit and Ubuntu 10.10 on a HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop.

I'm pretty sure you have to use the alternate install CD to upgrade.

That makes sense!
Is there a way to bipass this though, since I cannot download a whole image of the ubuntu website.

Not really, although you could upgrade over the internet instead.
