Hi all.

Upgraded to 11.04 last night.

On reboot, everything goes fine. I logon, my wallpaper shows, I get the Ubuntu sound, my icons appear, then the icons disappear, wallpaper shows for a number of seconds, icons reappear - then this loop continues.

I've booted into recovery, run repair packages and update grub - but makes no difference.

Sent from my nexus one! Please help!

Still using the nexus one!

Tried reverting to a previous kernel, but that made no difference.

Help!

Hi there,

I've kind of got round this.

My personalization included all the animations and transition effects on offer. To login successfully, I went to the login screen and clicked on my name. Before entering my password, at the bottom of the screen I selected "Ubuntu classic" (there are some option icons). This logged me in successfully, but without the transition effects.

I'm happy for now. Hope it works for you.

Andy

I don't have this option in GDM. The bottom bar has no icon or option :(
