I'm running compiz on Ubuntu 10.10.
I set from a long time the beam up effect when a regular window opens. Today, after regular upgrade of Ubuntu, the time of the beam is extremely high: the animation persists for different seconds. I tried to tune the time of the animation but it doesn't work. I noticed that one of the upgrades regards the xserver-xorg-video-savage

Can someone help me to fix this issue?

thank you
Alex

Right, I mean, from your discription, this could either be a regression in a little-used plugin or a video card issue, as Natty is having some video card support issues. Both of those plugins use some crazy particle jive, so they might be demonstrating a larger problem.

Are any of your other Compiz plugins affected?

thank you for your answer.
I have issues with the beam up and the burn add-ins, both of them are running for too long.
Apparently no other issues.... apparently ;)

do you suggest me to use the AT/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphic driver????
