Yesterday I did a clean install of 11.04 from 10.10, like it is said from MANY others my NVIDIA graphics card is not supported with 11.04, this means im using Ubuntu Classic which is slow as hell.

Now here's the problem I ran this code in terminal to see if a can run Unity and get my Graphics card working.

/usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p

here are my results: (sorry if I am doing this wrong)

OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce FX 5600/AGP/SSE2
OpenGL version string: 2.1.2 NVIDIA 173.14.30

Not software rendered: yes
Not blacklisted: yes
GLX fbconfig: yes
GLX texture from pixmap: yes
GL npot or rect textures: yes
GL vertex program: yes
GL fragment program: yes
GL vertex buffer object: yes
GL framebuffer object: yes
GL version is 1.4+: yes

Unity supported: yes

So what is wrong I cant get into Unity but im supported??

I also have activated my recommended driver however it is not in use which is confusing, when I log into Ubuntu (non-classic) I just get the mouse cursor and wallpaper, nothing else works.

I want to make it clear however Im not fussed about Unity I just want the speed of my PC back to the way it was FAST

I would be pleased with any from of help.

Al.
