Hi all, the upgrade worked pretty well ... intel sound worked straight off which was a welcome change :)
I Have an MSI L740 laptop with Intel 945GM chipset/graphics the laptop display works fine on its own at full res and the external monitor is fine on its own at full res as well
I can get dual screens working, & a clone works fine but when I try an extended desktop the operation works but the whole display is terribly distorted and I have to `redraw` with the mouse to see any windows which will then flash off and on then disappear into distortion once again.
The only way I can get a workable 2 screen setup is with one of the screens set at say 680 x 400 which is not really workable :)
Will I have to wait for a while before this starts working or is there anything I can try tweaking myself ? ... I never EVER thought I would miss an xorg.conf :)
