Xubuntu Upgrade

Hi, I just wanted to know if through the synaptic if It just update my Xubuntu desktop. The package manager said "Ubuntu", but I do not want Ubuntu because my computer is pretty old. I just need to upgrade my xubuntu?

May I suggest doing the download of the 11.04 Xbuntu ISO and upgrading/installing from that?

If you have a separate '/home' partition, this is much easier as you can do a manual install (called 'Something Else') and format the '/' (root) partition, and DO NOT FORMAT the '/home' partition for a reasonably painless clean install.

p.s. I just tried the Xbuntu a few weeks ago for the first time. It is a Sweet distro, fast and very clean!
