11.04 Post install problem

Howdy all:

I installed Ubuntu 11.04 to my system, all went well but I can not enter Ubuntu now. I receive the following message:

Problem with configuration server /usr/lib/libconfig2/-4/gconfig-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256.

Running 11.04 from a live CD was fine, the above occurred after installation.

What can I do to correct this?

Same here. And what makes matters worse for me is that I installed Ubuntu "along with" my Windows XP OS and I can't get to that either. I do not receive a prompt to select which OS I want to launch. So I'm kind of dead in the water.
