View Full Version : [ubuntu] Compiz desktop cube doesn't work even in Classic GNOME mode on 11.04

I recently tried out Ubuntu 11.04 and decided to stay with the Classic GNOME interface. I really want to use the desktop cube but when I activate it, it completely stops Compiz and I have to reset it back to the original Compiz configuration, when there was no cube activated. I know that there is a problem with the cube in Unity, but it doesn't work in the classic interface either. This is really annoying and I hope that either an update will come to fix it or a workaround will be available.
Any advice would be really helpful :)

Thanks in advance!

I switched to classic desktop also (not really a huge fan of unity), but my cube works flawlessly. I checked "desktop cube" and "rotate cube" in compiz config settings manager. Also make sure you have the # of desktops set to 4 horizontal and 2 vertical. That is in the compiz/general/general options. Good luck, hope this helps.:D
