I have just installed xubuntu and for some reason it has got US keyboard layout as default. I can remember doing the keyboard select during the install (alternate) for gb and it has correctly put my locale as gb but the keyboard is US.

I know I can select a gb keyboard in the settings dialogue but afaik this will just affect that user. I would rather redo the initial xorg setting so that the default keyboard layout is correct.

Is the command for this still dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg? If not, how should I do it?

thanks
