Upgraded to 11.04. Very happy to see the Dell E6510 Laptop with Intel video problem fixed. Now the problem is that my second monitor is not detected at all. It was working just fine in 10.10. I've tried logging into "Ubuntu Classic (no effects)" but the monitor still isn't detected.

Anyone out there dealt with this and found a fix?

I haven't tried classic gnome yet as I just installed 11.04 an hour ago but I can confirm dual monitors is broken in Unity.

I am not having any issues so far in Ubuntu Classic with dual monitors. Looks like it's just an issue with Unity for me. I'm running nVidia though, not Intel.

Mine is doing fine now though I had issues at first with resolution. Here are some things to look at.

Run this and look at the results for clear messages of something not up to speed for natty.

/usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p

Does the monitor show connected in either xrandr or the monitors application as shown in this now outdated page?

Look at this.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Config/Resolution

This is the lucid manual xrandr page and I don't know of a newer one.

This is the output of my xrandr now.

I have a E6510 too and I am having problems with dual monitors, it recognizes when I plug but it sets resolution to 1024x768 in mirror mode. My external monitor is a 24' and I used to set it at 1080P on 10.10.

Now when I try this setup with extended desktop every thing becomes a mess (see prints Attached), windows are cropped, etc...

Impossible to use.
