I had Windows 7 and XP in my system. Today I installed Ubuntu by formatting it onto the 7 installation. Everything went just as fine. But I had Windows 7 in the boot option. So I entered XP and used Easy BCD to erase that option. Now, when I select Windows option from GRUB, it says the system is corrupted or something similar. Does anyone know any method that lets me link XP directly to the GRUB list?

In Ubuntu have you run sudo update-grub in the terminal?
