I've downloaded the "jd.sh" from the official site, installed it and got a working jDownloader. The problem is, that the program doesn't start if I click on the icon in the dock. I guess the problem is that a box pops up if you start "jd.sh" asking you if you want to run it in terminal or not. Unfortunately that box doesn't appear if I start the client from the dock. Is there another file I can put in the dock to start the jDownloader or do you have any other suggestions? I'm using 11.04 of course. ;)

Download server #3 under linux is a nice .deb, just download that and install it.

It didn't launch for me until a few reboots later, either out of the dock or out of the application launcher. But then a day later it worked, updated itself, and runs fine. However, it will show a new dock icon while it's running called win0. I'm guessing that's a Java thing, has anyone else seen that issue on something Java with the new dock?

I'm not a fan of minimize to tray with Unity, so I turned that off. I kind of hoped it might be the cause of dual dock icon syndrome, but alas.

But I recommend to follow the instructions from the website.

I tried to install JDownloader from the .deb package and nothing happened. Now, it works fine.
