11.04 - impossible to get back to ubuntu after screen go to sleep

Hi.

I let my computer sit for a while.

When I come back, the screen is black.

I then move my mouse and was expecting the prompt for my password.

What I had was a black screen with a mouse which would change cursor from normal mouse pointer to text input pointer and finger pointer depending on where I put it on the screen.

As a result, I had to reboot.

I want to know if others are experience the same.

yep - happening to me too. Exactly as described, except when it happens to me I hit CTRL+ALT+F1, login, and restart gdm to get it back, rather than rebooting:

$ sudo service gdm reboot
