Hey all,

So I've set up Ubuntu 10.10 to dualboot with my Windows 7 quite nicely on my laptop.

Bootup gives me a list of OS's to choose from; the problem is, there are four different Ubuntu versions listed, and two Windows versions listed.

Here is a screenshot of my bootup screen:

Not a problem affecting performance at all, so really not a big deal, but I was hoping someone could tell me why multiple versions of my OS's are appearing.

Thanks guys!

Hi and welcome to the forums :-)

Each time a kernel is upgraded, a menu entry is added.

With Windows, I assume one entry is the install and the other for recovery.

You can customize the menu with this nice application:

Menu cleanup, can be done so:

Thanks! That worked beautifully.

Tech support with Linux is so much faster than with Windows...I am so far loving these forums.
