Hello, really like to get this working...

10.10 up to date, dual boot windows xp media center ubuntu 10.10 with boot options working fine... even changed to order to my preference.

emachines, Athlon 64bit 3400+ 2.4GHz with 2GB RAM, Radeon Graphics all working well

Upgrade to 11.04 - all normal until last 3 minutes when given boot selection choices I think in the install process.... Thinking I chose the wrong one, which was keep the old?!

Options on the boot screen now are:

Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.38-8-generic
Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.38.8-generic (recovery mode)
Previous Linux versions
Memory test blah blah
Memory test86+ blah blah
Windows XP media Center Edition (on /dev/sda1)
Windows NT/2000/XP (on /dev/sda2)

.38-8 won't boot - dark screen no text etc.
.38-8 won't boot but shows - loading 2.6.38-8 generic but stops no activity

Previous Linux versions offers the following:
Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.35-28-generic
Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.35-28-generic (recovery mode)
Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.35-22-generic
Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.35-22-generic (recovery mode)

35-38 ( sorry this should be 35.28 8) -generic boots but seems like a hybrid of 11.04 and the 10.10 - no option for classic display presented as suggested in forums...

Windows boot works fine...
I would like to preserve the dual boot but get Ubuntu to boot properly in the boot loader.

Thanks for an assist here
