This is an odd one. When I had Ubuntu Natty in my virtualbox literally two days before it was released, dconf-editor was there. There's a FAQ post here (http://askubuntu.com/questions/29553/how-can-i-configure-unity) detailing the configuration options for Unity... Some of which are through dconf-editor.

However, since then I have upgraded my Maverick installation to Natty, and I was wanting to configure some of the options in dconf-editor and...

It's not in the repositories. I tried doing a search on packages.ubuntu.com, and it says no results.

Anyone else have this? Anyone know where I can get dconf-editor?

Got an answer from askubuntu.com. The package name is dconf-tools.

Thanks.

This Ask Ubuntu is really great.

The solution that I used: http://askubuntu.com/questions/67593/make-gedit-embedded-terminal-colours-the-same-as-the-default-terminal
