ok, so i just upgraded to natty on kubuntu, and for whatever reason i have no sound now. i didn't change anything in between the upgrade & everything was working fine before. i followed the advice on this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=205449 and while the modules for my soundcards (yes i have 2, but i only use one) are loaded and seem to work, running 'aplay -l' gives me: 'aplay: device_list:240: no soundcards found...' i'm in the audio group, the modules are loaded (the soundcard i was using is snd-intel8x0) but it doesnt want to see my soundcard. i even tried purging & re-installing alsa to no effect. any help is greatly appreciated.
