I bought a used HP dc5750 computer with an 80G hard drive in it. I installed Ubuntu 10.10 in it and everything worked perfect.
In fact it worked so good that I decided to upgrade the computer. I bought a new 500G HD and 2G of RAM. (total of 4G in computer now) When I switched back to the 80G HD this morning the sound returned
This AM I reinstalled the 500G HD and reinstalled a fresh copy of of Ubuntu 10.10 on it. The same problem returned, :confused: no sound.
Does anyone have any idea about this problem?
