View Full Version : [SOLVED] Problems with installation of Ubuntu 11.04 server amd64

I tried installing the new 11.04 server version but the installation fails at "Select and install software", if I skip that step it fails at "Install the GRUB boot loader on a hard disk". I guess that it cannot download the selected packages but the DHCP configuration step earlier succeeded without any problems. What to do?

Should I try installing the desktop edition and then uninstall the ubuntu-desktop package and install the servers I need afterwards? Would that be the same end product?

Something must have been wrong with the burning of the cd since it now works when I burned the installation image unto a DVD, thanks anyway.
