Hi,

I've a problem install 11.04. I have to use skim for international input (asian) in kde. The package 'scim' is available (and seems to work), but 'skim' for use of 'scim' within kde is missing.
The result is, that input (of japanese or chinese) is possible for kde applications only (like konqueror, kmail), but not for eg. firefox or libreoffice.

Does anybody knows a trick to solve this or is there any information when / if 'skim' will be available?

Regards, HJC

seems to be missed:

http://packages.debian.org/en/sid/skim
http://skim-app.sourceforge.net/
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SCIM/Kubuntu
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/skim/+bug/609679

might need to request it: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/skim

While googl'ing I found the information, that scim is not developed any longer.

Whatever, the magic word (packet) is ibus. This no does the job for me.
