1) Why does it say that Ubuntu recommends 64-bit over 32-bit here:

yet on the Ubuntu 11.04 page here:

the recommended download is the 32-bit version?
2) Which version would I benefit the most from for primarily streaming media from a NAS and online with a standard XS35GT shuttle, 2GB RAM, ION?
