[kubuntu] Double Black Lines When Booting To Live DVD or Loggin In [Archive]

I got double black horizontal lines from left to right, top to bottom. This is with my 780G chipset and this happened in Beta 1, 2, and final release:

Strangely, I was able to load Kubuntu Live DVD (Beta 2 and final release) and install Kubuntu; However, the bug report has been ignored:

Is there anything I can do aside from switching to fglrx when logging in?

No replies to my thread? Not a problem. I just switched to OpenSUSE 11.4 with KDE and I have no problems with logging into my system without any symptons in the YouTube video, but then I do miss the APT packaging system, which is what I prefer.
