I booted the natty live CD and it's Gnome 2.32.1. Where is my Unity desktop?

Right now, the LiveCD/LiveUSB is still running the 'Classic Ubuntu' (the gnome desktop). To see Unity, you will need to install/upgrade Ubuntu from the LiveCD/LiveUSB.

Also - you can load Natty/11.04 and still use the 'Classic’ UI: Natty Info: Your UI options (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1741293)

Unity requires proprietary video drivers (Nvidia, etc.). Therefore, it does not run from the Live CD.

I've mentioned this limitation of the of the Live CD millions of times.
