Just had a look at the BBC, CNN and some other mainstream media websites. This is the first time in years that they haven't reported about an Ubuntu release. Is there a reason for that?

I know some big tech sites are reporting it, just not the mainstream news networks. What's up?

With the new Unity interface, this release was hardly low key. Any time there are big changes, there is a lot of controversy. Unity has been no exception to that rule.

I agree there has been alot of chatter over unity. I'm just wondering where the mainstream media coverage is this time around. Maybe they have too many other things to be reporting about at the moment.

Maybe they have too many other things to be reporting about at the moment.

Libya
Syria
Royal Wedding
PSN meltdown
etc
etc

A new version of Ubuntu doesn't really get a look in.

I've never seen an Ubuntu release on any major news site, especially like CNN.
