Hey,

So I recently upgraded my 10.10 to 11.04 via the update manager and now when I get to the login screen I click my name and type my password, the login box dissapears as is would when a correct password is entered. But then it comes back to the point where I need to select a user. Meaning I cant access my Ubuntu install.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

GeissT.

What happens if you select 'Ubuntu Classic No Effects'?

You may need to: (1) change the video driver or (2) run the upgrade again to get a clean upgrade from the LiveCD/LiveUSB made from the Natty ISO.

Hey Hedge,

Ive tried the other modes as suggested. Should I just burn a LiveCD and install OVER 11.04? 'cause 10.10 is no longer installed.

Thanks

GeissT

EDIT: I just tried your suggestion with the desktop modes and was able to login, ive disabled my video driver and Ill now try logging in under the unity interface.

EDIT2: I disabled the driver and I can now use the Unity interface, should I just wait 'til AMD/ATI releases a new Driver for Linux for my card? Thanks for all your help
