Hi there, Im new, so I hope I get this in the right place, but heres my problem:
I have assembled a box and come to try to load Ubuntu on it. I am using an Ubuntu 10.04 DVD that I downloaded, its worked fine on other machines, yet here, as I insert the disc, it boots, begins loading, presents me with the screen where I can choose different loading options (eg. the purple one with the two little icons at the bottom), and then it all goes blank, and my monitor displays a message telling me the signal is out of range, specifically it reads:
OUT OF RANGE
15.6kHz / 25Hz
Has anyone any ideas what may be causing the problem? The monitor has been used on other computers, installing Ubuntu from this very disc.
