View Full Version : [ubuntu] Create the FAT32 partition for booting

Dear Experts
Am trying to format my SD card and creat a FAT32 partition for booting

after following procedure i was stuck with the below command

Command (m for help): [t]
Selected partition 1
Hex code (type L to list codes): [c]
Changed system type of partition 1 to c (W95 FAT32 (LBA))

i don't have the [c] option or any "W95 FAT32 (LBA)"

plz to advise what should i do

note:
- the sd card need to be writable (uncheck write protection)
- the bios need to be able to boot from that card

Hello again,

well actually when I am asked to input a hex code

"Hex code (type L to list codes):"

using L to list the codes, I can not find the hex code corresponding to FAT32!
how can i have it?
I recently installed this version of Ubuntu 10.04 -the Lucid Lynux

it was solved after making update
