Afternoon. I am looking to run a custom version of the live cd from a usb flash drive but instead of having it boot the machine I want to try and have it load through qemu. I have managed to create a usb drive that can boot and I have customised it with some programs etc. I have also played around a little bit with qemu and created an img file and can install ubuntu to the file.

I would rather copy the live cd customisation into the image file as, from my understanding, the live cd does good hardware discovery and uses ram well. Any idea how I copy my custom live usb flash drive into a qemu image?

[edit]typically I have found some info after posting.http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/QEMU/Images#Mounting_an_image_on_the_host Any advice would still be welcome.
