For all you coffee lovers out there that like a nice tasty, warm-weather, caffeinated drink, I bring to you cold brewed coffee.
I don't know about other coffee drinkers but I really enjoy the taste of a nice hot coffee but in the summer time, I get really hot after drinking one. Ice coffee is, well, nice and cool and you can control the strength of the drink.
Things you will need:
-Two pitchers that can be sealed
-Metal strainer
-Coffee. If you get beans (recommended), you will need a grinder too

Cofee. I LOVE this stuff!! The best I'd ever had.

First things first, you want to use a 4:1 water to beans/grinds ratio. I usually do about 1 cup of coffee to to 4 cups of water. Mix your water and coffee in jug number 1:

Next, the coffee needs time to brew. The mixture goes in the fridge from anywhere from 8 to 14 hours. I usually go for ~12 to 14 hours. Prepare it in the evening, its ready in the morning.
Straining the concoction can be a bit tricky. Some people like to strain twice with the metal strainers and once with a paper filter but I think the metal strainers do a good enough job. I don't have a pic of the strained result unfortunately. This is how I like to do it:

Be aware that this stuff is STRONG. 1/4 to 1/3 of a pint glass of the "brew" is about the strength of a cup of coffee.
-Pour about 1/3 pint of the brew
-Add cold water but leave enough room for some heavy cream or milk. Personal preference will dictate how much you add.
-Stir in a spoonful of sugar and a few ice cubes.
Voila!
