Hi! I've recently bought a LinkStation™ Duo - LS-WXL/R1 to have instead of my home server which is much more than what I need. The thing is that I want to be able to add other servers than the provided and therefore I was thinking of installing FreeLink (http://buffalo.nas-central.org/index.php?title=Category:FreeLink) which is a Debian distribution to run on the LinkSystem hardware.
The problem is that when I check the site for information on how to do it I notice that the page haven't been modified since 2009 and I wonder if everything there still applies so that I don't accidentally brick my system. Is there anyone who have tried this and can give me some tips? The instructions are very vague and I don't know which firmware is right for my system.
