I tried posting this in another section, but I don't think the title said enough to get people's attention, so I figured I'd try one more time with this title. Apologies for so many posts!
Anyway, I have an old desktop Dell Dimension 4550. I tried installing Ubuntu on it, and it seemed to install, but when I try to boot it after the install, it gives me this error:
file not found. grub rescue>
I reinstalled ubuntu, and it still gives me the same error. The DVD I installed from seems to be fine, so I doubt that's the problem. I'm not positive about the harddrive yet. Is there a way to fix this?
