Hey everyone,
I have tried lots of fixes to make my Geforce GTX 480M work. None of them are succesfull.
I am able to boot when I go to recovery mode and use the restart X option.
My jockey-gtk says the driver is installed and in use. But when i try to use nvidia-settings it says the nvidia X driver isn't installed and that i need to run the nvidia-xconfig which just shits up the computer.
Maybe I have overlooked the correct answer but i really can't find a good one and after two days searching like a newbie i gave up and am now asking for help.
