I'm trying to install any type of linux system but everytime a load anything, I get a weird screen instead of the expected gui. I'm trying to dual boot with windows 7. When the gui shows up it shows parts of my windows desktop. It does this with everything I've tried so far (ubuntu, kubuntu, gparted live). It does it when I try to install through wubi and when I boot up from a live cd. Is there anyway I can fix this? I've already tried upgrading my bios firmware.
I'm currently using an Asus Republic of Gamers G60JX (can't remember the exact model number). I should also mention that my windows installation runs perfectly on the exact same laptop(I still prefer linux)
