i can not access internet on my hp 550 laptop. i just installed ubuntu 10.04 how can i install drivers manually without internet connection or is it possible to download them and install them:(

What drivers do you need? What isn't working? LAN? Wifi?

Yeah, you can compile them or install a .deb. lspci output would really help us help you ;)

both wifi and LAN are not working

you i can download them from another computer and install them on my computer. if so where am i suppose to download them. have not had much help from this forum

Could you run this command in terminal and post here its output:

lspci -v
