I'm new to Ubuntu. Recently bought a lenovo x100e netbook and installed ubuntu. Is there any Ubuntu Expert based in Cape Town that can assist to configure my internal 3g modem and a few other minor issues. Am prepared to pay.

Might be easier to ask the questions here. There is paid Ubuntu support through Canonical (http://www.ubuntu.com/business/services/overview), but that's primarily for businesses and runs on a subscription basis.

A Windows-only 3G modem is going to be a bit of a pain, but you may be able to set something up with NDISWrapper (I think,) although I'm not an expert on that. (Someone in the forum presumably is, though, if we could have some details.)
