I often do not know when an IM buddy has logged on, unless I am at the computer at the time the buddy logs in. I use aMSN. My computer is set to suspend, so often it can not indicate via aMSN, that a buddy has come online.
Has anyone seen a solution that sends an sms message to my sms phone when a buddy logs into IM? I am in the UK. I need the service to come from a web site rather than a program on my computer because it might be in suspend mode when the buddy comes online. I looked at yahoo messenger but could not work out how and if it can be set up to send the sms message saying "Jane has come online". Can yahoo messenger do what I want?
Does anyone have a method of getting a third party website to notify me that a buddy has come on line?
