ok so it sounds simple but have a few more questions that are not covered.

im trying to install windows on the hard drive in bay 2 of my computer. ubuntu is in bay 1 with all movies, music, etc. in bays 3,4,5,6 in a software raid 5 using mdadm.

My questions are...
1) if I install windows on my bay 2 harddrive is it going to mess with my software raid ( i dont need this accessible to windows)

2) can you point me to a GOOD post explaining how to install windows 7 after ubuntu is already installed

Number 1 is my main question.. still looking at post for number 2

Just use Google. ;)
For point 2: Ubuntu Documentation (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WindowsDualBoot).

thanks for point two... google is my friend. I just hate searching everything because one day they will put the pieces together and know everything about me...if they haven't already... it hurts to think about it....lol =P
