GRUB2 first reboot

Hi,
I have installed Ubuntu10.10 32 bit on my new Samsung NC210 in dual-boot with WinXP. When I turn on the pc, GRUB2 loads but it reboots after I have selected the OS. On the next reboot, GRUB2 works correctly.
Any idea?

open synaptic (system admin synaptic) to: remove/purge( right click) then reinstall grub-pc & grub-common

reboot for checking
