I'm trying desperatly to install Ubuntu Netbook Remix on my Asus Eee netbook.

I've created an USB bootable stick.

It boots.

I get to the screen where I can choose the language and where I have the choice between "Try" or "Install".

I choose Install.

After that, I get to the screen about the preparation of the installation. It says I have enough disc space, that I'm successfly connected to the power and to the Internet.

I click on next and... nothing happens! It stays for ever on that screen.

Ubuntu not installable on Asus netbooks??

In that case, is there another Linux distribution that can be more easily installed on those computers?

Hi!

How long is forever? Some of my older laptops seams like forever!

Do you happen to know if you have one of the small ssd drives (2gb)

You might try to install again.

120 Go hard drive.

Forever is one hour!

I've tried to reinstall five times, redownloading the iso for Ubuntu Netbook Remix each time.

Hi!

Just an idea:

1. How did you make your stick?

2. You could try to delete, format and install on your stick again.

So what has become of your story ? Did you do an install or not ? I am using a Éee-Pc "4gb's" nothing like your huge thing you have there and it works. Well with 10.10.
