View Full Version : [ubuntu] Symbol Lookup Error after update 10th april on 11.04

After I upgraded 11.04 on my netbook (Latitude 2110), I get a symbol lookup error when trying to run Spotify (Native Linux Client) and other QT based applications:

spotify: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libQtDBus.so.4: undefined symbol: _ZN14QObjectPrivate15checkWindowRoleEv

I found the following thread (http://getsatisfaction.com/spotify/topics/spotify_linux_does_not_start_due_to_symbol_lookup_ error) on the Spotify support website, with the exact same error.

I cannot quite understand how to diagnose and fix the problem from the information provided. Anyone got a good tips or hint?

Ok, so I've already have Spotify installed, that is not the problem. One of the updates or something else has messed up that installation, so I cannot start Spotify at all.

I need help concerning the "Symbol Lookup Error", just to make that clear.
