New to Ubuntu.
I am in the middle of installing it on my desktop system alongside windows.
I am at the 'Who are you' screen. I have input all the info, checked the boxes but cannot get the Forward button to un-grey. Tried to go back, then forward again but the Forward button remains grey.
Help!

Hi and welcome to UF

You don't want to use the "alongside" option with 10.10. It will probably mess up windows.
10.04 is the LTS (Long Term Support) version. It's supported for 3 years. 10.10 is only supported for 18 months & it's not much different than 10.04.

If you just must have 10.10, use the live cd/usb to partition your hdd before you install, the choose your partitions manually.

Should I install an earlier version for an "alongside" install?

That was it....no capitals and Forward came alive.
Thanks

Going ahead with 10.10.

Yes, I edited my post.

ImDougy is right, you can't use upper case letters in your user name.

Edit: well, looks like you were posting at the same time I was.

you say a new version is due in 8 days? My 10.10 does not seem to work with my wirless card. Dual booting with win 7. The windows works fine...

wonder if the 11.04 will come with new updates? any ideas ?
